Aruba RTLS Tags are a crucial component of Aruba's location-based services. They enable active tracking of assets both indoors and outdoors.
Using Bluetooth 4.0 technology, they ensure efficient communication and real-time location data transmission.
The tags communicate with Bluetooth-enabled Wi-Fi access points, which enable direct connection to the location software. The specific nature of these devices makes them suitable for various industries such as healthcare, retail, logistics, or shopping malls.
Aruba Tags are small, low-power wireless transmitters emitting radio signals at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. These signals are received by Bluetooth-enabled access points that also function as elements of the WLAN network. Subsequently, the data is sent to the Meridian software, where mapping and proper localization of individual assets on the facility plan occur.
The device enclosure is designed for easy mounting on various surfaces or objects. The battery life on a single battery is approximately 3-4 years of continuous operation.
The Aruba Tags configuration application allows for easy addition of devices. Thanks to the iOS application's capabilities, locations of Tags can be directly marked on plans, photos, and descriptions, creating a database of their locations in a simple and intuitive way.
The easy-to-use Meridian application allows for easy management, addition, and editing of tagged assets.

All Aruba Beacon tools, once properly configured, allow for sending push notifications directly to users' mobile devices.
When guests are within the network's range, they can receive personalized messages, for example, related to their current location or direction. Additionally, the application enables defining and remembering individual preferences and consent to specific, expected actions.
Aruba Beacons can be used for location determination, distance indication, and wayfinding through the Meridian mobile app.
